The VtPHA believes that all Vermonters should have access to a seamless system of physical and behavioral health care services. Especially during difficult financial times, it is essential that core mental health services be maintained. VtPHA supports:

  • Access to quality community based services
  • Adequate funding for all components of a public mental health system
  • Integration of primary care and behavioral health care services
  • Parity between physical and mental health benefits
  • Programs focused on the prevention of mental and emotional illness
